A 30 year Colorado resident, Doc developed his musical chops during his years in Austin TX. Inspired by the likes of Guy Clark, Townes Van Zant, Robert Earl Keen, Lucinda Williams and others , their influence permeates his songwriting .
Doc is passionate about Western and Americana music styles, particularly Honky Tonk, Bluegrass, Folk, and Blues.
His current favorite bands include The Turnpike Troubadours, Infamous String Dusters, Lil' Smokies, Greensky Bluegrass, Molly Tuttle, Billy Stings and Railroad Earth. And Of Course...The Grateful Dead.
Jamming with other musicians with his bands, sitting in with other performers or picking all night at various festivals is Doc's "happy Place".
A veteran of several Colorado Bands including "The Omnibuds", and "Blood Wolf Moon", Doc can currently be found performing with the "Sarah Bauer Band", in Honky Tonks and bars, and festivals throughout the front range.
"Playing music with Sarah has reinvigorated my songwriting and love of music! She is an amazing vocalist and a delightful human being. We are so aligned musically and spiritually it is amazing. Writing for a female has added an exciting element to my songs, and provides a conversational quality when swapping verses and lines."
Doc does the songwriting for the band, sings lead and backing vocals and plays acoustic and electric guitars and dobro.
Whats next for Doc?
